The ‘Awapuhi Hale Mālama
Doug and Christy are seeking a kindred spirit to join us in the role of an on-site caretaker for the ‘Awapuhi Labyrinth.
The right human will:
Resonate to the five principles we have chosen to guide the labyrinth’s collaboration: ’Āina, ‘Ohana, Akahai, Lawelawe, and Makakū
Exchange hours of service for up to half of the month’s rent to help care for this very special place that is beloved of the local community
Be able to sign a long-term lease to rent the Hale Mālama and reside on property beginning on or shortly after October 1st, 2025
Hale Mālama has an abundance to offer:
New ‘ohana construction
An exquisite natural setting on 4th Avenue in HPP, close enough to hear the surf
Off-grid living
Indoor kitchen and composting toilet with heated outdoor shower
Gated driveway and off-street parking
Deep community ties
1:1 training in labyrinth facilitation to support yourself and others in using the labyrinth for healing, meditation, and growth
The opportunity to develop your own offerings in harmony with this place
