Join December’s General Circle Share: A Winter Solstice Celebration

Welcome to December.

We celebrate the return of the light.

You are cordially invited to a virtual General Circle Share on Sunday, December 21st (the winter solstice, the longest night of the year).

Winter solstice marks the earth completing another revolution around the sun, bringing us to the point of deepest darkness before the light returns. In nature, this is when seeds break open in cold, damp earth…a necessary rupture before new life can emerge. The earth revolves. Seeds break. We transform. Revolution is both the turning and the rupture.

The darkness of winter is not something to fear. It's where the richest soil is made.

As with all General Circles, you're encouraged to share whatever is alive for you, how you're closing the year, what you're bringing in next. Your facilitators will bring meditations and prompts celebrating the winter solstice, themes of revolution, transformation, and the turning of the seasons… but the floor is open to wherever your truth leads.

Revolution means many things: the inevitable cycles we move through, the turning points we find ourselves at, the radical shifts we choose to make. It's both cosmic and cellular, both beyond our control and deeply within it.

Your altar icebreaker will be to share your name, where you're dialing in from, and bring an offering to the altar - something physical or conceptual that represents what you love about winter. We often dread the darkness, but it also holds gifts. What's one you've found?

We'll begin with our intros and altar items, then read the Circle Guidelines aloud together. After a candle meditation to ground us into our collective space, we'll move into journal prompts, and then open the floor for anyone who wishes to share.

You are also invited to share this invitation with others in your network. We welcome all deep divers, truth seekers, big dreamers, and creative catalysts!
